My mom and I made it to Raton, NM the night we left. The next morning we woke up and headed onto Lubbock. I was looking forward to relaxing at my parent's house for a few weeks after the crazy few weeks of packing and moving!

Our Last Day...sniff, sniff
We closed on our house the morning of August 6th. My mom took the big girls to American Girl to have their dolls hair styled for the trip! I'm not sure the women have ever styled a naked doll's hair before, but all of our doll clothes were packed away!

It took 3 of these guys to hold our stuff! Plus my dad's trailer that is holding the stuff for our apartment until our house is ready in December!

After a crazy day of last minute packing into my dad's truck, my car, & my father-in-laws truck we ended the day with a lot of emotion! My mom and I decided to drive a few hours that evening so the drive wouldn't be so hard on Emmie. The guys had all left about 4 hours earlier. I had to see all of my BFFs one last time :( Penny & Debbie came over to see us off and see the Pack Rats get hauled away. I went by to see Michele & Kenz wanted to say goodbye to Brenna & Ava again. Then I had one last stop at Leslie's house. It was very hard saying goodbye to so many friends all at once and then driving out of town!
The things I will miss most about Colorado in no particular order are:
my friends, bookclub, my jobs & coworkers, our church, Wildcat Mountain elementary, weekend trips to the mountains, lupines & columbines, Highlands Ranch, Park Meadows mall, The Landmark, La Sandia margaritas, scrapbooking trips, my hair lady Rachel, my girls friends, & Kevin's friends
I am planning to fly in and work a few days every 3 months or so once we get settled in! Hopefully that will help ease the sadness, or it might just make it worse :(
