Our B-I-G News

Kevin was approached in October of last year by Xerox to open us a dealership for them in the mountains. He told them that we had no interest in living in the mountains and then they mentioned Austin. He said probably not but he would talk to his wife. We discussed it and figured it was probably a long shot he would even get the offer, so why not just go through the motions? Fast forward 8 months, and we were putting our house on the market!
We always have ultimately wanted to move back to Texas to raise our kids, but as time went on we grew more and more used to our life in Colorado. We had a job offer in Texas last summer that we just didn't feel right about, so we bought our new house in Colorado and decided we probably would be in Colorado  forever. God apparently had a different plan for us! Everything just kept falling into place with the job offer. We weighed our pros and cons about a hundred times and decided to go for it! We love the idea of being closer to family, being closer to the ocean, no more shoveling the driveway, and being able to spend money on family vacations other than to Texas!!

We had a park playdate a few days before leaving with lots of dear friends!!

11 months

11 months and impossible to photograph right now! This is the best I could do! I must also say this is the first picture I have taken of her that she doesn't look like a baby! She looks like a little girl. Sniff sniff. Emmie is cruising around furniture like a champ. She could possibly be the earliest of my 3 to walk!?

Maclyn's Birthday

My cousin Jeremy's little boy Maclyn turned 3 while we were in Lubbock, so we got to  help them celebrate! We played in the pool, met Maclyn's new sister Bailey, & had cake. We were so happy to be there to enjoy the fun!!

4th of July

We started our 4th by going to the Highlands Ranch parade. It honestly is torture for me! It is early in the morning, so it is hard to get out the door in time to find a parking spot and a spot to sit. Then it is so freaking HOT and miserable, and the floats are lame. The thing that makes all of those things worth it is seeing the look on the kids faces as candy is flying into the streets! They absolutely love it, and even though Kevin was out of town I was not going to make my girls miss it! Thanks to lots of help from friends, we made it!
Then the Phams had us over to hang out for the evening. It was a great time even without the fireworks. I was secretly happy they were cancelled because of the fire ban. I wasn't sure how I was going to tell them we couldn't take Emmie since it would scare her!

Bowling

We bought a groupon to take all the kids bowling together! We got a sitter for the little ones, and headed out for a fun group outing! My girls have never been bowling, and they had a blast! After 2 hours of bowling, we headed to dinner, and then to pick up our baby girl who was still wide awake at 9:15!
