Hello Kitty

Mackenzie went to a birthday party yesterday with a face painting clown. She wanted to look like Hello Kitty. Pretty good if you ask me!! She didn't understand why she couldn't keep it on til today to show her friends at school.

Spring Program pics

Here are some pics from the program. The theme was children around the world. All of the kids sang "Jesus loves the little children" & "Hello to all the children of the world". Mackenzie's class was France, so they sang French songs like "Frere Jacques". They closed with all the kids singing "He's got the whole world in his hands" which is her absolute favorite song. She belted it out so loud. All the kids made shirts with their handprints to look like continents on the earth. They were so cute!

Spring music program

Mackenzie had her spring program at school today. She did so good! She sang really loud for most of the songs. This video is hilarious. Yes Mackenzie is super cute up there, but check out the little boy next to her giving the audience a full view of his torso. I think it distracted Mackenzie a bit. The same boy caused a domino effect of kids falling down when they had the entire preschool up there singing. Unfortunately Mackenzie was right next to him again, and unfortunately I didn't get it on video!

Picnics, Tongues, & Boo-boos

These are random pics of the girls.
Mackenzie really wanted to have a picnic the other night. It was to cold for Pres & me but not our little cold weather gal. Instead of eating and playing at Chick fil A she chose to come home and eat outside. She was determined!

The girl loves her tongue!!

This picture is pretty funny. Mackenzie was walking with a flag pole with a big screw coming out the end of it in her mouth.
I know I know we will talk about my parenting later.
Seriously, I didn't see her doing it or I would have stopped it.
So anyway, she slipped or something and the screw scratched the top of her mouth. When she came to me crying her mouth was bleeding. When I told her she totally stopped crying and ran to the bathroom so she could see her boo-boo. She was upset that she couldn't see the roof of her mouth, so I suggested we take a pic and she could look at the pic. She loved the idea, and after we were done with all of the picture viewing she was all better!

Look Who's 4!!

Mackenzie was talking about turning 4 the other day and I made a sad face like I was crying. She said, "What's wrong mommy"? I said, "I don't want you to grow up". She said, "oh mommy, don't worry, 4 year olds are still little girls" as she patted and hugged me. She is such a loving little girl. She will sit and play with Presley and talk to her about how good she is sharing and how much fun they are going to have together when she grows up.
Mackenzie is an Aries and I guess that is why she is so strong willed. I have never seen anything like it! You can take away all sorts of things form her and she doesn't budge! I'm hoping this will get a little easier now that she is 4, but I'm not counting on it.
She is also extremely funny! She calls her friends by there full names. For example, Jake is Jacob Ryan, Jack is Jackson Thomas, and Nora is Nora Lee. It makes me laugh everytime she says it. She ate a chocolate chip the other day and said, "don't worry, you will be with friends down there" while patting her tummy.
A psychic once told me that she would be a singer on Broadway some day. I'm not so sure about psychics, but Mackenzie is very into music and singing. She takes her Barbie boom box with her all over the house and to her friends houses. She often has dancing and singing performances in our living room that she makes us announce her as "The great Mackenzie Grace Borie".
I can't wait to see what the next year brings with our little sweetheart!

Party time!!!

Mackenzie had her birthday party last weekend! It is so much fun to see the excitement in planning and having a birthday party from a 4 year old. She has already started planning her 5th birthday. It is going to be a rainbow party shared with her sister! We will see if that changes.
This year she wanted a strawberry shortcake party. We did it at The Hop which was so much fun for all the kids. I made her shirt, tutu, and cake which of course she had plenty of opinions about. Next time I think I will order everything so I don't have to change 85 times. For example, the cake pan I used had a big hat on Strawberry Shortcakes head. Mackenzie doesn't like hats and wanted me to make it into the princess Strawberry Shortcake. I think it turned out OK. Not as hard as I thought it would be! We also had strawberries dipped in white chocolate and pink sugar.
Now that her party is over....Presley's is in 3 weeks, and of course I have to make her outfit, invitations, & cake too!
I hope that shared rainbow party comes true next year. Planning 1 party and knocking out 2 birthdays sounds awesome!!

Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday started with Mackenzie going on a hunt for the baskets that the bunny left. She was most excited about the Snow White movie she got, and Presley was excited about her goldfish! Then off to church we went. I only got to listen to half of the sermon as Presley was melting down in the nursery.
We had lunch with some friends and another egg hunt for the kids. It was a very relaxing fun day. We definately were counting our blessings!
Mackenzie found her basket in the kitchen cabinet

Yet another egg hunt for money this time!!

Egg Hunt

The Montanos host an egg hunt every year at the park next to their house. This year we had about 23 kids!!! That's a lot of eggs! To think next year there will be a new crop of 4 babies and our sweet babies will be running after the eggs! It was so nice to have great weather. Usually there is snow on the ground for the big hunt.

all the sweet babies comparing eggs
the neighborhood kids minus a few (wow we have grown)

Bunny Foo Foo

We headed to the mall with our friends to meet the Easter bunny! The good news is... this year I didn't have to be in the picture!!! We had lunch and then went into the extremely crowded brand new American Girl store. The girls thought it was pretty fun but were more interested in the stuffed animals than the actual dolls.
Penny and I made the egg shirts and flower bows for the girls. That's why they all match!

Presley goofing off for Lila

So excited to meet the bunny

Love it!

I Love me some Peas!!!

We went to the Black Eyed Peas concert on Saturday night with our neighbor friends. We all got sitters and headed downtown in the Lynch mobile, a.k.a. mini-van. We were all able to ride in one vehicle with our designated driver so why not??

We went to dinner at Tamayo and headed over to see Ludacris and The Peas. It was the most fun I have had in a long time!! They put on a great show! I can't wait til another fun band comes to town. Oh yeah U2 in June if Debbie makes it that long before giving birth!

Check out that bump! Debbie was a good sport!

This just cracks me up. Everyone was doing there own thing
